“FC Bayern Munich” is internationally known and popular. The club has gained many sponsors through its attention such as the current main partners Deutsche Telekom, the Allianz Group and Adidas Sportswear as well as Audi as a car partner. The main partners hold together slightly less than 25% of the shares of FC Bayern Arbeitsgesellschaft. With Deutsche Telekom’s deal as jersey sponsor, FC Bayern, with reference to its own statements, will raise more than 50 million euros per year. This gives the ‘FC Bayern München AG Group’ a larger field of activity. Therefore, in 2019, the turnover in Germany was unrivalled as it reached around 750 million euros. Compared to its European competitors, this success was not based only on loans. Indeed, FC Bayern München does not hold the first place only in Germany, but also worldwide. It has become a famous sports club in the whole world! A proud 293,000 fans are members who are organized in the 4,507 FC Bayern fan clubs. Currently, there are 360,059 international members.

The Allianz Arena is the internationally renowned football stadium which is located in Munich-Fröttmaning. It has a maximum capacity of 75,000 seats. The cost of the construction that equalled 340 million euros have now been fully paid off. Yet, the wonderful architecture of the stadium and its extraordinary shape and spectacular night lighting is very inspiring. The individual tiles of the arena can shine in different colours as they provide the stadium with the right light depending on the occasion. The stadium officially opened in 2005 and held the World Cup the following year in 2006. In 2012 the arena was the venue for the UEFA Champions League Finals. The European Football Championship is to be held here in 2021. The Allianz Arena also houses the “FC-Bayern-Erlebniswelt” which is a 3,000 square metre multimedia exhibition with more than 400 exhibits from the club’s history.
